Subproject A2: Mathematical models and algorithms for an automated product development of branched sheet metal products
Subproject A2 is concerned with the optimal design of branched sheet metal products. To this end methods of mathematical optimization are used. Complex, three-dimensional structures and new features, such as fatigue, are integrated in the optimization process. The aim of the second phase is to cope with this diversity mathematically and to expand the optimization approach in such a way that the product development can be supported algorithmically as far as possible.
